At Exotic Critters Shop, we understand that receiving your new exotic pet is an exciting and important experience. That’s why we’ve designed our shipping policy to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your critter companion, as well as any pet supplies or accessories you order. Please review our shipping guidelines below to help you understand the process:

1. Shipping & Handling Time

We take great care in preparing your order for shipment. All orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days (Monday through Friday) unless otherwise noted. Our critters are carefully packed for safe travel, and we ensure they are comfortable throughout the journey.

2. Shipping Methods

We offer several shipping options depending on the size of the order and your location:

  • Standard Shipping: Delivery within 3-7 business days.
  • Expedited Shipping: Faster delivery for time-sensitive shipments, typically within 1-3 business days.
  • Overnight Shipping: For urgent deliveries, we offer next-day shipping.

Please note: Due to the nature of shipping live animals, all exotic critters are shipped with overnight delivery to ensure their safety and comfort. Our team ensures that each animal is securely packaged and shipped with care, using specialized carriers that handle live animal transportation.

3. Packaging and Care for Live Animals

Your critter will be shipped with the utmost care. All animals are carefully packed in temperature-controlled, secure containers with cushioning to minimize stress and ensure they arrive safely. Depending on the species, we may include heat or cold packs to regulate temperature during transit.

We only ship live animals when temperatures are within safe ranges to ensure their well-being, so during extreme weather conditions (both hot and cold), we may delay shipments for a few days to ensure the safest travel conditions. If this is the case, we will reach out to you to confirm the best delivery date.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location, the weight of the package, and the shipping method selected. For orders over $100, we offer free standard shipping on most items (excludes live animal shipments, which must be sent via overnight delivery).

5. Order Tracking

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email to monitor the progress of your shipment. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your shipment, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team, who are always happy to assist.

6. International Shipping

Currently, we offer domestic shipping within the United States. We do not ship live animals internationally, but we are working toward expanding our shipping options in the future. For orders outside the U.S., please contact us to inquire about available shipping options for pet supplies or accessories.

7. Delivery Delays

While we do our best to ensure your order arrives on time, please understand that delivery times may be impacted by weather, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will do our best to communicate any changes and will work with the carrier to ensure your package is delivered as quickly as possible.

8. Local Pickup Option

If you’re located in the same city or nearby, we offer the option to pick up your order directly from our store. Simply select “Local Pickup” at checkout, and we’ll notify you when your order is ready to be collected.

9. Customer Satisfaction

We are committed to the safe arrival of your exotic critter and want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If there are any issues with the condition of your pet upon arrival, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order, and we will work to resolve the issue promptly.

For non-live animal orders, please contact us within 7 days for any returns or exchanges.
